Temporary Assistance Officer within LSS and SoL

The Northern Inner City district consists of the central parts of Stockholm, Norrmalm, and Östermalm. Here, we work to provide our 155,000 residents with the best services in areas such as preschool, social services, elderly care, and urban development. The area of adult services and disabilities consists of four units: the adult unit, the social psychiatric unit, and two units for disabilities.

The area is led by a district manager, four unit managers, and a team leader. The adult services and disabilities area is a workplace characterized by high satisfaction and a good working climate. We are now looking for a temporary assistance officer within LSS and SoL.

Your role

As an assistance officer, you are responsible for investigating needs, assessing and deciding on, and following up on services for adults with disabilities. A large part of the work involves collaboration with other actors, which requires good communication skills in both spoken and written form.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A degree in social work or a behavioral science degree that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Experience working as an assistance officer or social worker with authority.
  • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Previous experience of authority within the area of disabilities
  • Previous experience of authority within the city of Stockholm
  • Knowledge of the city's documentation system Paraplyet

As a person, you are stable and have the ability to handle stressful situations that arise in the work. You take responsibility for your tasks, take initiative, and drive processes forward independently. You are structured and have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks. You are flexible and able to adjust tasks based on changing priorities and circumstances. You enjoy collaborating and contribute to a good working climate through an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
